An Online Class

I know that some of you come here and visit from far away places, and I can’t tell you how much I love that. I’ve had some of you look at my Classes list and tell me you wish you could come, but you live in another state or even in another country. Well, we’re about to change the way we can interact! I told you I’ve been really busy lately, and here’s why:

I’m teaching a class with Craftsy.com!

I’ll still be teaching in-person at Modern Domestic, and I always love to meet people face-to-face when I can. But whether you live just around the block orΒ halfway around the world,, you can still take a class with me online!

I was in Denver last week filming, and I’ll be sure to let you know more details about the class when I can. They have a lot of editing to do (getting rid of me making goofy faces and dancing around on camera), but as soon as I know a launch date I’ll be sure to tell you!

  • How exciting! Congratulations! (also – looking forward to find out what it’s about.-))

    • Thanks, Maria! I should be able to give some more information soon. πŸ™‚

  • Wow! Congratulations, what a wonderful opportunity πŸ™‚
Hope everything goes well! xx /Jennie

    • Thanks, Jennie. I’m really excited!

  • Hooray! You are famous πŸ™‚

    • Haha- let’s not go that far! πŸ˜‰

  • Elsa

Amy, Congratulations!! I think that’s so great! No wonder you haven’t had any time to sew. I’m excited to be able to take a class with you. I think I mentioned to you before that I’ve been trying to make a blouse pattern to use with the silk my daughter brought me. I’m close, but I think I’ll wait until I see what you’re going to be teaching.

    • Thank you, Elsa! I’m really REALLY excited about it- and even more excited that you’ll take it with me!!!! EEE! πŸ™‚

Trying to make a blouse pattern, eh? That’s funny… there might be something to help with that in your Stash Busting prize that I’ll be mailing soon. πŸ˜‰

Yeah!! I am so looking forward to getting that package! We leave tomorrow to take our grand-daughter and her friend back home to SLC. Be gone about a week. Then 1 more week of company and I’ll be able to get back to my stash. There are a few very tempting fabric stores in SL, though. Hopefully I won’t go crazy.

        • I will send the package out this week. I’m excited for you to get it! We just got back from a long camping trip, or I would have sent them out sooner. I hope you have/had a great time in SLC (and don’t add too much to your stash)!

Amy…I have taken your Beginner Serger course at Craftsy. And I’m hoping you will soon have an advanced Serger class available. Looking forward to it.

    • That’s wonderful! I’ll be sure to let everyone know if I do an advanced serger class. It’s definitely been on my mind to put one together!

Amy I recently acquired a Pfaff Coverlock 4872 and I am scared of it! Will your class on craftsy work for me and this machine?

    • Yes! My class is set up to work with all brand and models of machines. Your serger has some extra stitches on it that I don’t teach in the class, but once you have mastered the basic overlock stitches, flatlocks and rolled hem, you will be able to more easily set up your machine for a cover stitch and adjust the tensions. I’m happy to help you with any questions you have in the class!
