Things have been pretty quiet around here, but don’t think I haven’t been wanting to keep up the plaid posts! I’m itching to get up the next one on sewing them, but I’ve had to take a longer break than I expected. We traveled home to visit our friends and family for a week to celebrate the holidays, and then I brought home a terrible illness. I’ve been spending my time trying to recuperate in front of our Christmas tree, but I’m really itching to get back to my studio. Hopefully a few more days of rest, and I’ll be ready to go! In the meanwhile, here a few photos of what’s been going on.
This is my Dad’s sewing kit. I was checking out his machine because I’d like to find a manual for it and help him get it running smoothly, and I had to laugh when I saw the putty knife in there. I have no idea what he’s using it for, but I’m sure he has an excuse.
Sometimes I miss the big open fields of the Midwest. Sure, it’s flat, but at least you can see what your neighbors who are 2 miles away are up to!
This little dog has been keeping me company on the couch most days, but I think he’s tired of my coughing. I guess I am interrupting his daily nap time, spoiled little fuzz butt.
So there’s nothing too exciting, but I wanted to say hello! I will do my best to be back very soon!
